BERNICE E. OTTEN, 81, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 4:15 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Red Bud Nursing Home, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late Joseph and Annetta (nee Parrott) Maurer on July 30, 1929 in Red Bud, Illinois. She married Roy Otten on August 6, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud; he survives. She had worked at International Shoe Factory in Evansville and Singer Factory in Red Bud. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois and St. Ann's Altar Sodality.
