EARL J. HIGGINS, 94, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:20 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois. He was born to Edward and Lula (nee: Kent) Higgins on February 20, 1917 in Chester, Illinois. He married Lora M. Gerlach on June 21, 1939 in Perryville, MO. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1999. Earl was an Army veteran and was retired from the railroad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chester, IL and belonged to the Senior Citizen Center - Kitchen Band.
