JOHN A. RODEWALD, 80, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:00 am, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late Ernest F. and Jessie Mae (nee Gale) Rodewald on February 10, 1930 in Jackson County, Illinois. He was a Brick Layer for over 50 years and had worked for various companies in the area. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois. He was a 4th Degree Knight and member of the Knight of Columbus #3790, Chester. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #1764, Chester, Eagles Club Aerie #3252, Chester and the life long member of the Chester Boat Club. Survivors: 3 Children Susan (Abdul Aziz) Darwish Saudi Arabia Diane (Jeffrey) Kerkhover Chester, IL Randy Rodewald Chester, IL Long-time Companion Alberta Kuehne Chester, IL 2 Sisters Peggy Johnson Chester, IL Mary Ann (Harold) Howie Chester, IL 6 Grandchildren Ahmed, Ramzy, Yasmine, Lauren, Austin and Miranda 2 Great Grandchildren Lily & Azooz Preceded in death by: Parents It was John's wishes to have his body donated to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
