MARION M. CLEVENGER, 89, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:25 pm, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, MO Marion was born to the late James F. and Lizzetta (nee Pick) Lochhead on June 3, 1921 at Chester, Illinois Marion was married to George S. Clevenger on July 1, 1939 at Chester, Illinois, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2006 Marion had worked as a secretary for G.T.E. and in her earlier years she worked at Prim Hosiery in Chester. Marion was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, St. John Altar Guild, Chester Lions Club and was an avid quilter. For many years she was the coordinator of the Golden Agers Service at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester. She was the leader of the first Girl Scout Troop at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois.
