MILDRED L. STEIBEL, 92, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 4:30 am, Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Red Bud Nursing Home, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late Stephen and Pearl (nee Allgire) Deterding on September 3, 1918 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. She married Clarence Steibel on January 25, 1940 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death May 31, 1975. She had been a cook at the Little Cupboard Restaurant in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois and the altar sodality at church. She was a member of the Prairie du Rocher Senior Citizen and was past president. She had been a PSR teacher. She was an avid quilter.
