He was born to the late Frank and Esther (nee Skidmore) Siegfried on July 21, 1926 in Evansville, Illinois. He married Alice Schuhmacher on February 6, 1951 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois. He was a Farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis Grove, Illinois.
