JAMES W. WILNER, 86, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 4:40 pm, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Illinois. James was born to the late Jacob and Alida (nee De Kler) Wilner on April 13, 1924 at Los Angeles, CA. James married Alida Wakker on October 23, 1948 at Hoboken, NJ; she survives. James was a retired Engineer for American Water Works. He was WWII Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #978, Fairview Heights, IL and Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity at Stevens Institute in Hoboken, N.J. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Fan and Golfer. He was of the Lutheran Faith.
