MARTY MICHELLE SMITH LOHMEYER, 31, of Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, passed away at 4:46 am, Sunday, July 11, 2010 in rural Randolph County, Illinois. She was born to Robert L. and Denise M. (nee Shadoan) Smith on May 23, 1979 in Indianapolis, Indiana. . Marty graduated from Center Grove High School, Greenwood IN 1997. She played bass clarinet in the school band and orchestra from middle school through her junior year of high school, then marched in the band flag corp. After high school she attended Jefferson Community College, Hillsboro, MO and Meramac School of Nursing, St. Louis. She worked with the American Red Cross till moving to Louisiana to be with her parents. She enjoyed swimming, riding her parent's horses, dancing and dirt bike riding and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Marty leaves her parents, Bob and Denise Smith, grandmother Angie Smith, her brothers - Rob, Brian and Jack, one nephew - Logan, one niece - Jadyn and many adoring aunts and uncles and cousins. The family will be celebrating Marty's life in a private memorial service held in southern Indiana.
