EVA ROSE FOSTER, 92, of Chester, Illinois, formerly of Sparta, Illinois passed away at 3:30 pm, Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. Eva was born to Major and Anna (nee Swallows) Flowers on August 31, 1917 at Winkle, Illinois. Eva married Robert D. Foster on December 21, 1932 at Pinckneyville, Illinois; he preceded her in death September 23, 1993. She was a retired Nurses Aid and had worked at the Randolph County Nursing Home, Sparta and Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sparta, Illinois. Survivors: 2 Daughters Thelma Vahlkamp Belleville, IL Phyllis (Roland) Hammel Chester, IL 4 Grandchildren Connie (Keith) Warner Belleville, IL Rhonda (Steve) Lindsey Davie, FL Marvin (Judy) Hammel Chester, IL Mitch (Kandy) Hammel Chester, IL 16 Great Grandchildren 6 Great-Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - Robert Foster, Son-in-law - Fred Vahlkamp, 2 Grandsons - Stephen and Greg Vahlkamp and 8 Brothers and Sisters preceded.
