BERNICE KARUSHIS, 102, of Chester, Illinois passed away at 5:45 am, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Ann's Healthcare Center, Chester, Illinois. Bernice was born to the late John and Patricia (nee: Aidentas) Belskis on October 8, 1907 at Westville, Illinois. Bernice married Thomas J. Karushis on September 27, 1925 at Westville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1993. She had owned and operated, along with her Husband Tom, The Trail Night Club, at Ellis Grove, Illinois. Bernice was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis Grove and the Ladies Sodality. She was a Member of the American Legion Auxiliary #487, Chester and the Chester Eagles Club Auxiliary.
