Clara Marie Smith, 94, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. Ann's Healthcare Center, Chester, Illinois. Clara was born to the late Frank and Mary (nee Petrowske) Jany on June 27, 1916 at Fort Gage, Illinois. Clara married William E. Smith on April 11, 1942 at Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on November 18, 1993. She was a Homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chester, Blessed Virgin Mary Altar Sodailty, and was an AFSCME Retiree.
