ANTHONY “TONY” JOHN HENNRICH , 96 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:30 am, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center, Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.

He was born to the late Anton C. and Anna (nee Hecktor) Hennrich on June 10, 1924 in Evansville, Illinois.

Tony married Verna Hanebutt on August 27, 1949 in Walsh, Illinois; she preceded him in death on January 23, 2015.

He had been a production worker at Cole Mills, Spartan Printing, Singer and Snyder General.

Tony was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Tony loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran.

A Private Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Walsh, Illinois with Father Vincent Mukasa officiating. A Private Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois.

Memorials contributions can be made in Tony’s memory to Masses or Crown Hospice and memorials are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
