Betty L. Ehret

BETT Y L. EHRET, 84, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 12:45 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Osmond and Mabel (nee Scheidel) Gregson on June 9, 1935 in Red Bud, Illinois.

She married Robert J. Ehret on February 27, 1965 at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud; he preceded her in death April 10, 1990.

Betty worked at Voss Grocery Store in Red Bud before she got married. Later, she worked as a cook at Four Flags in Red Bud, Mary’s Bar & Grill in Ruma, Bonnie’s in New Athens and Country Kitchen in Red Bud.

She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois where taught Sunday School for 30 years. Betty enjoyed embroidering and making cookies with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps., a Noble of the Eastern Star and a member of the Healthy Circle in Red Bud. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and Notre Dame Football.
