Carol S. Usher

CAROL S. USHER, 82, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:25 am, Monday, June 1, 2020 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.

She was born to the late James O. and Muriel (nee Kemfer) Berry on February 16, 1938 in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Carol married Jack W. Usher on July 7, 1961 in Sparta, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 7, 2006.

She was a Librarian at Chester Public Library for 11 years.

Carol was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and Card Club.

4 Grandchildren:

Jack Cowan, Kellie Vaughn, David Blum and Crystal Talbot

14 Great Grandchildren

4 Nieces and 1 Nephew

Preceded in Death by : Parents, Husband, 1 Daughter – Tracy Dickerson, 1 Brother – Norman Berry and 1 Sister-in-law – Ruth Berry

A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials contributions can be made in Carol’s memory to American Cancer Society or Shriner’s Hospital for Children and memorials are being accepted at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
