Carole A. Bert

CAROLE A. BERT, 72, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:47 pm, Saturday, May 24, 2025 at her residence.

She was born to the late Richard and Ruth (nee Kendrick) Bendorf on June 22, 1952 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Carole married Lenny Bert on May 25, 1996; he survives.

She worked in eye care all of her life, starting with Dr. Springer and retiring from Chester Eye Care.

Carole was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester. She enjoyed reading, tending to her plants and bird watching. Carole was truly a public servant and loved to help others in any way that she could.

It was Carole’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, time and location to be determined.

Memorials may be made in Carole’s honor to Chester Public Library and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
