CHARLES D. MUDD , 82, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 pm, Monday, March 1, 2021 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.
He was born to the late Emory and Anna (nee Peyrott) Mudd on September 25, 1938 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.
Charles married Carolyn Zipfel on January 6, 1962 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois; she preceded him in death on September 2, 2006. He then married Betty Wolfangel on April 28, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois; she survives.
He owned and operated Charlie’s Cut n’ Style in Red Bud, Illinois for 50 years.
Charles was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois, where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member and office holder in the Knights of Columbus #12152, North County Country Club, St Clement Community Foundation, Lion’s Club, American Heart Association and Red Bud Chamber of Commerce. He received the Citizen of Achievement Award from the Chamber in 1999 and had been a charter member of the Leo’s Club.
He was Army veteran.

A Private Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating.
