Charles Patrick Tripp

CHARLES PATRICK TRIPP, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:17 am, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Belleville Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

He was born to the late George and Ruth (nee Jungers) Tripp on November 13, 1943 in Anna, Illinois.

Charles married Virginia Wittenbrink on June 27, 1965 in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked as a Transportation Officer for the State of Illinois and was also a part time Chester Police Officer.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois where he also served as an Elder and Usher for several years. Charles was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 in Chester where he had been a Commander and also the American Legion Post #487. He was also a member of the Chester Country Club and had once been awarded Citizen of the Year in Chester.

Charles was a Korean War Army Veteran.
