Christine "Chris" Rose Schwartz

CHRISTINE “CHRIS” ROSE SCHWARTZ, 64, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 am, Sunday, January 12, 2025 at her residence.

She was born to the late Edward “Slick” and Isabelle “Izzy” (nee Scheltgen) Bendorf on April 15, 1960 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Chris married Michael E. Ludwig on April 12, 1986 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001. She then married Steve Schwartz on November 12, 2004 in Chester, Illinois; he survives.

She had worked as a secretary for the Regional Office of Education for over 10 years.

Chris was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Chris also enjoyed bowling, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, college basketball and any sport that involved her children or grandchildren.
