CLIFFORD “CLIFF” J. JUELFS, 82, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 1:45 pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Three Springs Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Louis and Olga (nee Offermann) Juelfs on April 10, 1944, in Fults, Illinois.

Cliff proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Deeply committed to his fellow veterans, he was a member of the American Legion Post #622 in Prairie du Rocher and a dedicated member of the V.F.W. Post #6632 in Red Bud, where he also served as a Post Commander.

On November 5, 1994, Cliff married Marilyn “Sue” Hill at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois, where he remained a longtime member.

An exceptionally hard worker, Cliff spent 32 years at the Chrysler Plant in Fenton, Missouri, ultimately retiring from his favorite role there as a test driver. Alongside his career at the plant, he owned and operated Cliff’s Tree Service for over 30 years, serving his local community.

Outside of work, Cliff lived life to the fullest. He was an avid road rallier, a deer hunter, and a skilled bowler. He loved spending time out on the water boating, playing cards, and joining in on games of bingo.
