Clifford F Stellhorn

CLIFFORD F. STELLHORN , 85, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 1:20 pm, Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Red Bud Care Center, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Herbert and Alma (nee Rehmer) Stellhorn i n Griggs, Illinois on February 15, 1934.

Clifford married Gloria Ellner on September 7, 1963 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois; she survives.

Cliff was part owner of H. E. Stellhorn & Sons Trucking and drove a milk truck for the most part of 50 years. He proudly served in the United States Army during peacetime (1956-58) spending most of his deployment in Japan. He remained a member of the Army Reserve until 1962.

He was a man of few words. Clifford enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains with his family. He loved Cardinal baseball, old country music, Nascar races and Budweiser. His fondness for the latter went hand and hand with a wicked left handed hook on the bowling alley and he even bowled a 300 game. Being an avid reader, Cliff also somewhere along the line learned that everything could be fixed with duct tape. In his later years, he loved being surrounded by his grandchildren.
