David A Colvis

DAVID A. COLVIS, 66, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:52 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Kenneth and Shirley (nee Miller) Colvis on September 21, 1956 in Red Bud, Illinois.

David had worked as a millwright for the Carpenter’s Union Hall for over 40 years.

He was a member of St, Mary’s Church of Divine Maternity in Ellis Grove, Illinois. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and watching NASCAR. He also used to be an avid motorcycle rider. David loved spending time with his great granddaughters and the love of his life, Pat.

It was David’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Salty Dawg in Chester, Illinois.

Memorials in honor of David may be made to the family and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois.
