Donald R. Derickson

DONALD R. DERICKSON, 84, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:30 am, Monday, January 25, 2021 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Cardel and Rose Mary (nee Hauner) Derickson on June 29, 1936 in Murphysboro, Illinois

Donald married Barbara Jungewaelter on August 11, 1969 in Chester, Illinois; she preceded him in death on November 1, 2018.

Donald had worked for the Chester Dairy, Chester Street Department and was a coal miner.

He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post #3553, the American Legion Post #487 and the Knights of Columbus #3790.

Donald was an Army Veteran.

It was Donald’s wish to be cremated.
