Donald "Donnie" E. Whelan, Jr.

DONALD “DONNIE” E. WHELAN, JR ., 57, of Sparta, Illinois, passed away at 6:16 am, Monday, December 25, 2023 at Sparta Terrance, Sparta, Illinois

He was born to Donald E. and Janet Caroline (nee Burmester) Whelan, Sr. on March 16, 1966 in Belleville, Illinois.

He worked in the workshop at the Human Service Center for many years.

Donnie was member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Evansville, Illinois. Donnie participated in the Special Olympics and would competed in the softball throw. He spent his time listening to Elvis and watching TV. He enjoyed going shopping, eating at McDonald’s and attending family gatherings.
