EDWARD L. DUFRENNE , 82 , of Prairie du Rocher , Illinois, passed away at 1:15 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Garden Place in Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late George and Louise (nee Donjon) Dufrenne on March 3, 1940 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

Edward married Carol Schicker on December 31, 1960 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she preceded him in death on December 4, 2004.

He had worked as a coal miner for Consolidation Coal Company at Kellogg Dock in Modoc, Illinois and was also a farmer.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, LaGuiannee Society, had served on the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Committee and a retiree member of U.M.W.A. Local 2412. Edward was a former member of the Prairie du Rocher Fire Department. Edward enjoyed playing cards, loved traveling and visited 49 of 50 States, but his passion was always farming. Edward never missed a sporting event or school function of his grandchildren.
