ELDER MEHRING, 90, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 8:46 pm, Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, Illinois.

He was born to the late Paul and Clara (nee Voss) Mehring on June 3, 1933 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Elder married Pearl M. Stellhorn on September 21, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Prairie, (Red Bud) Illinois; she preceded him in death on October 31, 2022.

He was a carpenter.

He was an Army Veteran and of the Lutheran faith.
