ELLEN J. PENFORD, 74, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 7:15 pm, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Robert and Christina (nee Loader) Mallow on July 1, 1946 in North Tonawanda, New York.

Ellen married Leon Carl Penford on November 13, 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he preceded her in death on May 30, 2014.

She was a mother, housewife, military wife and seamstress. She was also the nursery coordinator for infants and toddlers at Grace Church Ministries for 15 years and was the banner maker. Ellen enjoyed her family, her Jesus, sewing, her pets and puzzles.

Ellen was a member of Grace Church Ministries in Chester, Illinois.
