Elmer Joseph Mudd

ELMER JOSEPH MUDD, 91, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Emory and Anna (nee Peyrott) Mudd on August 16, 1927 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

Elmer married Angie DiMercurio on November 24, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri; she survives.

Elmer was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Red Bud for 35 years. His business slogan was “Cover it with Mudd in Red Bud”.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois. He had also been a member of the Red Bud Optimist Club, Life Underwriter Association and North County Country Club. He was an avid gardener. He enjoyed playing in horseshoe and golf leagues.

He was an Army Veteran.

Preceded in death by: Parents, 6 Siblings – Clyde (Lorena) Mudd, Vernon (Leona) Mudd, Wilmarth (Dean) Harris, Russell Mudd, Eileen (Si) Junge, and Ida Mae Lauber and 1 Sister-in-law – Carolyn Mudd
