Emma Louise Grott

EMMA LOUISE GROTT, 97, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 5:20 am, Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.

She was born to the late Clarence and Lorraine (nee King) Lang on May 4, 1927 in Kellog, Illinois.

Emma married Rayburn Grott on August 14 in Huntsville, Alabama; he preceded her in death on December 24, 2000.

She had worked as a Postmaster for Ellis Grove, wired furnaces and fan motors at the furnace factory in Red Bud as well as Emerson Electric in St. Louis. She had also worked at Singer, the Prim Hosiery in Chester and the International Shoe Factory in Evansville.

Emma was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing and reading.
