FERN M. SCHNEPEL , 96 , of Ruma , Illinois, passed away at 5:02 p m, Mon day, April 17 , 2023 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Herman and Elsie (nee Kruse) Stamm on June 3, 1926 in Ruma, Illinois .

Fern married Norman Schnepel on April 21, 1949 in Ruma, Illinois; he preceded her in death on April 7, 1997.

She was a homemaker.

Fern was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois. She was an avid quilter and loved gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
