Flora Belle Clevenger

FLORA BELLE CLEVENGER, 96, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:10 pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born to the late Robert Arthur and Eva Zoe (nee Travis) Dyer on July 10, 1923 in Parsons, Kansas.

Flora met Homer L. Clevenger, while she was in the Marine Corp at Parris Island, South Carolina. They got married on June 15, 1946 in Plymouth, Michigan; he preceded her in death on August 21, 2009.

Flora was a homemaker.

She had been a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois and enjoyed quilting at the church.

She was a WWII Marine Corp Veteran.

A private graveside service will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois.
