Garry Ray Monroney

GARRY RAY MONRONEY, 81, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 5:04 pm, Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born to the late Gerald Monroney and Glenna (nee Dreczka) Bollinger on March 1, 1945 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Garry married Donna Emerson on November 9, 1968 in Ellis Grove, Illinois; she preceded him in death on November 28, 2012.

He had worked as a janitor for Sparta School District and then had worked for Burmester Auction Services.

Garry was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove. He enjoyed attending and working auctions, working for several auction companies over the years. Garry was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed coon hunting on mules. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

   Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Step Father – Ollie Bollinger, Wife, Step Brother – Charles and Step Sister – Geneva

It was Garry’s wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
