GENE “GENO” P. HECHT, 58, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:43 am, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his residence.

He was born to the late Herbert and Wilma (nee Burnnet) Hecht on March 25, 1962 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Gene married Jennifer Pennington on November 6, 1998 in Chester, Illinois; she preceded him in death on September 6, 2002.

He was a Journeyman Carpenter for Brock Industrial Company for over 25 years.

Gene was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Blues hockey games. He loved spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed putting on a fireworks display for the Fourth of July.
