Gene R. Korando

GENE R. KORANDO, 69 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:44 pm, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence.

He was born to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (nee Westerman) Korando on August 8, 1952 in Chester, Illinois.

Gene married Marilyn Fulford on July 8, 1972 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked and owned Korando Farms and later in life started Korando Agri Transport trucking company and he was very proud of its success.

Gene served on the Randolph County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for many years. Farming, family and friends meant a lot to him and he never met a stranger.
