George E. Haferkamp

GEORGE E. HAFERKAMP, 65, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 pm, Thursday August 20, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born to the late Earl and Betty (nee Smith) Haferkamp on March 1, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri.

George married Veronica Sanders on August 6, 2011; she survives.

He had worked as a Correctional Officer for Menard Correctional Center in Chester for 29 years.

George enjoyed playing golf, fishing and woodworking.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at Pechacek Funeral Homes with Pastor Blake Duncan officiating.
