Gerald "Gerry" M. Holmstrom

GERALD “ GERRY” M . HOLMSTROM , 87 , of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 1:00 am, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Edwin and Lenora (nee Wasvick) Holmstrom on October 1, 1935 in Breckenridge, Minnesota. .

Gerry married Nancy S. LeMasters on June 20, 1964 in East St. Louis, Illinois; she survives.

He was a systems analyst for the United States Government.

He was a member of St. J ohn Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois where he served on the finance committee, was a chairman, an elder, and was the vice president of the Men’s Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #622 in Prairie du Rocher. Gerry was a founding member of the South Dakota Skydiver’s Club, an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed to paint.

He was a 101 ^st Airborne Division Army Veteran.
