He was born to the late Walter and Dorothy (nee Fricke) Ohlau on July 13, 1933 in Chester, Illinois.

Glenn married Patsy Kloth on May 14, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

Glenn had worked in construction.

He was of the Lutheran Faith. Glenn was a member of the American Legion Post # 487 and V.F.W. Post #3553 both in Chester, Illinois. He was a Korean War Army Veteran.
