Gordon L Strong

GORDON L. STRONG , 81 , of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 5:52 am, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

He was born to the late George and Mary (nee Edward) Strong on September 5, 1938 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

He married Dorris Davitz on July 3, 1958 in Ellis Grove, Illinois; she survives.

He worked as a Laborer for Local #100 for 64 years and was also a farmer.

Gordon loved living each day and his family meant the world to him.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Ellis Grove City Cemetery with Dr. Mike Forgerson

officiating. Memorials can be made in Gordon’s memory to the American Cancer Society or

Shriners Hospitals for Children and are being accepted at the funeral home.
