Irma O. Fey

IRMA O. FEY, 96, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 am, Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at her residence.

She was born to the late Herman and Lydia (nee Rubach) Opperman on September 11, 1928 in Wine Hill, Illinois.

Irma married James “Jim” Fey on April 6, 1947 in Wine Hill, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 30, 2013.

She had worked at the International Shoe Factory, a Fabric Store in Chester, and was a cook at St. John Lutheran School in Chester.

Irma was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Randolph County Farm Bureau. Irma enjoyed sewing, playing pinochle, and the outdoors.
