ISABELLE “IZZY” A. BENDORF, 94, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11:58 pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Leo and Catherine (nee Petrowske) Scheltgen on February 27, 1925 in Fort Gage, Illinois.

Isabelle married Edward “Slick” Bendorf on November 26, 1949 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2011.

She had worked for Memorial Hospital in Chester in the dietary department for 19 years.

Isabelle was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
