JACK P. HERSCHBACH, 69, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:26 pm, Friday, September 11, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born to the late James V. and Doris (nee Roche) Herschbach on March 27, 1951 in Red Bud, Illinois.
Jack was a teacher and coach at Chester High School for 30 years. His calling in life was to coach multiple generations of athletes.
He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting and was a life long lover of Brittany Spaniels. Jack was a member of Ducks Unlimited in Chester and was involved in several coaching organizations. He was a Committeeman for Randolph County Democrats and was also heavily involved with the Chester Food Pantry. Jack was also a Boy Scout Trooper Leader for Chester Troop 305. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chester, Illinois.
