Jacqueline "Jackie" L Wachtel

JACQUELINE “JACKIE” L. WACHTEL, 86, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 9:22 am, Friday, March 27, 2026, at Accolade Healthcare of Waterloo.

She was born to the late Wilbur and Katherine (nee Snyder) Braun on August 21, 1939, in Red Bud, Illinois.

Jackie married Leroy E. Wachtel on July 18, 1959, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church in Hecker, Illinois; he preceded her in death on August 14, 2025.

Jackie worked as a sales representative for Avon for over 40 years.

Jackie was of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. She also enjoyed spending time at casinos and visiting flea markets.

Jackie had been a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Red Bud and had served as president.

   Family requested that everyone dresses causal for the service
