JAMES R. BIXBY , 52, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.

He was the son of Kim Bixby and was born on March 31, 1972 in Chester, Illinois.

James married Robin Lynn Koester on November 1, 2003 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; she survives.

He had worked at Chester Mental Health until his retirement in 2023.

James was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evansville, Illinois. He enjoyed camping, cooking, and taking pictures.
