James Ray Brown, Sr.

JAMES RAY BROWN, SR., 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:28 am, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late John Logan and Sarah L. (nee York) Brown on January 31, 1930 in Tilden, Illinois.

James married Shirley Butler on December 23, 1967 in Chester, Illinois; she preceded him in death on February 10, 2011.

He had worked as a Security Therapy Aid at Chester Mental Health Center.

He was of the Protestant Faith. James was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 and the American Legion Post #487. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #72 and the Eagles Club Aerie #3252.

James was an Air Force Veteran.
