JAMES F. THOMPSON, JR. , 55, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed at 12:40 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 at his residence.

He was born to James and Glenda C. (nee Cathers) Sr. on November 28, 1968 in East Louis, Illinois.

James married Vanessa L. Vasques on March 18, 2016; she survives.

James had served in the National Guard and then enlisted in the United States Army until his was honorable discharged.

He enjoyed spending time outside and going fishing with his wife, Vanessa.
