She was born to Edward J. Pierce and Margaret Viola (nee Stellhorn) Pierce on September 3, 1977 in Chester, Illinois.

She had worked as a manager at Ace Hardware in Chester, Illinois.

Jessica was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester. She enjoyed being outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, canning, sewing and most of all spending time with her son.
