Jo Ann Martin

JO ANN MARTIN, 86, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:30 am, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at her residence.

She was born to the late Leslie and Dorothy (nee Keel) Powell on October 13, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

JoAnn married Sherman Martin on December 31, 1952 in East St. Louis, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 22, 2018.

She was a homemaker. She had also worked at Chester Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department and had been a waitress and cook in Troy, Illinois.

JoAnn was of the Protestant Faith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts in Troy, Illinois. She also volunteered at the Knights of Columbus in Chester and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
