Joann E. Davis

JOANN E. DAVIS, 91, of Ironton, Missouri, formerly of Ellis Grove , Illinois, passed away at 7:15 pm, Friday, December 24, 2021 at The Baptist Home-Arcadia Valley, Ironton, Missouri.

She was born to the late Paul and Mary (nee Parker) Eaton on December 28, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri.

JoAnn married James “Bill” W. Davis, Jr. on June 19, 1969 in Ellis Grove, Illinois; he survives.

She graduated from St. Louis City Nursing Program and worked as a registered nurse in multiple hospitals and home health for 40 years.

JoAnn was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois before moving their membership to Ironton, Missouri. She was also a member of the Home Extension for 25 years and the Women’s Missionary Union. She was a Master Gardener and also served as a boy and girl scout leader. JoAnn also enjoyed quilting and loved to spend time with family and grandchildren.

She was a Korean War Air Force Veteran and was a Captain for 4 years.
