JOHN “BUTCH” R. HUFF, 78, of Smithton, Illinois, passed away at 3:12 pm, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. He was born to the late John M. and Fannie E. (nee Haeffner) Huff on September 19, 1946, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Butch married Carolyn D. Collins on March 14, 1968, at Edgemont Bible Church, Belleville, Illinois; she preceded him in death on July 10, 2015. He worked as a mail carrier for the United States Post Service for 34 years and served as President of NALC Branch #155 for over 20 years. Butch was a member of St. Matthew Church, Belleville, Illinois. He started the Belleville NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive and was also the Labor Man of the Year in 1996. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. Survivors: 3 Children: John E.
