Joseph Lindell Johnson

JOSEPH LINDELL JOHNSON, 79, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:45 am, Saturday, January 31, 2026 at his residence.

He was born to the late Joseph A. and Opal (nee Gill) Johnson on December 20, 1946 in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Joseph married Marla Yazman on February 22, 1969 in Redwood City, California and celebrated 57 years of marriage; she survives.

He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 38 years until his retirement.

Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

It was Joseph’s wish to be cremated with no services.
