Joseph Clark Munson

JOSEPH CLARK MUNSON, 81, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away at 3:10 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Baptist Village Care Center, Erlanger, Kentucky.

He was born to the late Walter Wayne and Wilma (nee McConkey) Munson on January 11, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Joe was a longtime photojournalist for the former Kentucky Post/Scripts Howard Newspapers. He was a Ham Radio operator and an outdoors man, having walked the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Coast Trail and many other outdoor adventures. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing and of course, his photography carried over to his outdoor adventures.

He was a military enthusiast, having served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

A graveside service will be held with military honors at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 23, 2024 at Mt. Summit Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois with Cecil Dunning officiating.
